Asana- Yoga Poses

Asana or the poses, are usually the first thing people think of when they hear the word Yoga. The purpose of the postures is to create a healthy hospitable environment for the mind and Spirit to reside in. If our body is tight, rigid, weak, in pain and misaligned then we will never be able to find peace within. So- yogis practice care of the body through asana. The pose itself (how it looks) is not the point though- the point is honoring the body and moving from a place of love, awareness and gratitude for all the body does. The practice and the poses will feel different every day and evolve over time, patience is key, as well as releasing expectations and being with what is.

Veronica, your classes offer the best combination of free-style playfulness, serious postures, beautiful playlists, and a generous offering of modifications for those with varying levels of practice. I so look forward to your Tuesday and Thursday classes, knowing I will challenge myself, explore new, creative asanas, learn more about yoga philosophy, and have fun. There's never a dull moment or sense of 'oh, not that sequence again'. Well done, Blissful Butterfly! 💜🦋
