Although I thoroughly enjoy teaching large groups of people in person, in nature, events like that take a lot of heart energy and leave me a little sad and depleted when they are over. I'm also extremely sensitive to the energy of others, which I only realized during the time in shut down, so I can only do those large events sporadically.
I currently much prefer teaching Yoga from my living room. What I offer virtually is a self care practice that students can cultivate for themselves in the comfort of their own home.
Yoga practices like breathing, movement, mindfulness and meditation when applied regularly assist in over health and wellness physically, energetically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
This week in my group hatha yoga classes I'm not 100% on theme but I'm feeling something like "Fall Into You" as a moment of reflect on the change of seasons and taking stock of anything that perhaps needs to be shed. In the summer we were all on the go, as the days grow shorter it's a nice opportunity to take inventory on what habits of thought, word or action just aren't quite aligned with the most awesome version of yourself. Think of this week on the mat as a chance to go within and take inventory. As always it's done with loving kindness, compassion, and curiosity.
